All speakers at the Leverage Points 2019 conference should upload their presentations via the link below no later than Friday, 1stFebruary. Submitting your presentations in advance of the Summit is essential to ensure sessions start on time and run smoothly and in a timely manner.
Please embed any content such as audio or video – do not link to external files. For oral presentations We recommend a standard 4:3 ratio screen format to match the screens available at the conference venue. Oral presentations will be 12 minutes, poster speed talks will be 5 minutes. If you are giving a poster speed talk presentation please also upload a digital version of your poster for the speed talks. Physical copies of the posters will be displayed in the main conference auditorium and should by in “portrait” orientation and A0 print size. You should bring your printed poster to the conference reception desk in the University’s central building.
To submit your presentation, please follow these steps on or before February 1st 2019. If you are speaking in multiple sessions, please follow these steps for each of the presentations you plan to deliver:
- Create your presentation (.ppt or .pptx are preferred formats, but if your presentation does not contain animations, you may submit it in .pdf format).
- Save your presentation according to the following naming convention: Session#_SpeakerLastName_short_title (e.g., “3.1_Chung_nature_as_a_leverage_point.pptx”.
- If you are unsure of your session number, please check here (the pdf can be searched for your name using ctrl f).
- Visit the Dropbox folder and upload the saved presentation (uploaded presentations will not be visible to anyone other than the conference team).
Note: Submitting your presentation before the deadline ensures that it will be uploaded onto the laptop in the room where you will deliver your presentation at the Conference. If you cannot upload your presentation before the deadline you are asked to bring your presentation to the Conference on a flash drive. In addition, we recommend saving a back-up of your presentation in a cloud-based storage location, just in case anything unexpected happens.
For questions please contact LP2019@leuphana.de including “presentation upload” and your submission number in the email subject line.
Talks and panel
Panel sessions include (usually) 5 speakers. Each speaker can present for 12 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions. Following all presentations, there will be approximately 40 minutes available for a discussion with a panel comprising the presenters. The last 10 minutes of the panel discussion should focus on key insights from the session.
Talks and World Café
The world café sessions include (usually) 5 speakers. Each speaker can present for 12 minutes. Following all presentations, there will be two rounds of 20 minutes world café discussions. After the first 20 minutes there will be an opportunity for people to move to a different discussion. After the second world café discussion there will be a moderated 20 minute room wide discussion focusing on key insights from the sessions.

The poster presentations will be 5 minute speed talks in front of a digital version of the poster (single slide).
